Powhiri

Last week we had a 1hr and 30 minuets Powhiri which was very, very, VERY long. On that day the kapa haka group and the Pasifika Pearls of Glen Taylor perform. Here is a pic of the pisifica pearls. I will like to thank Mrs Faalili and myself of helping these wonderful girl of their performance. Can't wait till our next performance.

    You all look amazing! I Wish I was there to see the Pasifika pearls perform. Is that the kapa haka group in the back? I’m in kapa haka too! An hour and a half seems pretty long right, how long did you think you’d last?

    I’m a yr 7 student at Pt England School. Your photo of your powhiri is really pretty and you guys look amazing.I haven't been in and to a powhiri before and I really want to know what it’s like. What was the best things you liked about the powhiri?

    1. Powhiri part of the Maori culture. Powhiri is like a assembly introducing new people or things to the community. Powhiri? What it means to me is presenting a Assembly to the people who we are grateful to. My favorite part of the powhiri would be dancing in front of the school
